I am sorry that I have to complain but, my wife took this tour and half way through it her headphone batteries died. She informed the guide and he said fir her just to stay close. So as she tried to stay close he would walk away and move to fast and she would miss a lot of the tour. We returned to the UK on 15\/2\/12 so were unable to use the tickets for the\u00a0Colosseum\u00a0or Borghese Gallery.\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n

I appreciate that you are a sales office and not responsible for either of these venues but we found the whole scenario\u00a0bizarre\u00a0to say the least.\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n

We wasted most of our first day in Rome, at the grounds of the Borghese gallery. \u00a0There was a note on the door stating it was closed and would be open at 3pm, so we returned at 3pm and it was still closed, no update. \u00a0There was just a printed piece of paper stuck to the door of the gallery, no staff member to advise what was happening or even a notice prior to entering the grounds to save time and prevent us having to navigate the icy slopes to get to the closed gallery. There was no one to answer the phones when I rang to see what was happening or when the gallery would next be open and worse there was not even a pre-recorded message to give any information about the closure.<\/em><\/p>\n

Perhaps you could pass on this review to the people who run the Borghese gallery, after our experience we would certainly not recommend this to friends\/family\/other travellers if it is this poorly organised. \u00a0It’s made worse by the fact you have to have a reservation to enter and to have no information available was very poor and unprofessional.<\/em><\/p>\n

We also found the lack of information at the\u00a0Colosseum\u00a0very poor, especially as the reason for its closure was ‘security’? I phoned your office to be told it was closed due to snow which made no sense as we could see no evidence of snow on this day. Surely for a venue of this importance the closure should have been under constant review and opened as soon as it was safe to do so instead of a blanket closure. This was my reason for coming to Rome in the first place and I’m sure like many others it has been a great disappointment.<\/em><\/p>\n

Once again I appreciate you have no control over these matters but at the very least I hope you pass on how\u00a0disappointed\u00a0and unimpressed your customers have been left due to their poor organisation. I know closures happen but to just close the doors is a totally\u00a0unprofessional\u00a0way to deal with them and in all my travels I’ve never experienced anything so badly run.<\/em><\/p>\n

Unfortunately we did not have any access to emails or the internet to read the email you sent to us. \u00a0We did not use the\u00a0Colosseum\u00a0or Borghese gallery tickets so I would appreciate a refund on these tickets as soon as possible.<\/em><\/p>\n

On a positive note we thoroughly enjoyed our visit to the Vatican and museums. It was obvious to us the difference in organisation, very very professionally run as you would expect.<\/em><\/p>\n

I am sorry that I have to complain but, my wife took this tour and half way through it her headphone batteries died. She informed the guide and he said fir her just to stay close. So as she tried to stay close he would walk away and move to fast and she would miss a lot of the tour. I was wondering what you can do about her missing the second half of the tour as it is not her fault the batteries died and the guide was rude.<\/em><\/p>\n

Good afternoon. \u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n

We returned to the UK on 15\/2\/12 so were unable to use the tickets for the\u00a0Colosseum\u00a0or Borghese Gallery.\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n

I appreciate that you are a sales office and not responsible for either of these venues but we found the whole scenario\u00a0bizarre\u00a0to say the least.\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n

We wasted most of our first day in Rome, at the grounds of the Borghese gallery. \u00a0There was a note on the door stating it was closed and would be open at 3pm, so we returned at 3pm and it was still closed, no update. \u00a0There was just a printed piece of paper stuck to the door of the gallery, no staff member to advise what was happening or even a notice prior to entering the grounds to save time and prevent us having to navigate the icy slopes to get to the closed gallery. There was no one to answer the phones when I rang to see what was happening or when the gallery would next be open and worse there was not even a pre-recorded message to give any information about the closure.<\/em><\/p>\n

Perhaps you could pass on this review to the people who run the Borghese gallery, after our experience we would certainly not recommend this to friends\/family\/other travellers if it is this poorly organised. \u00a0It’s made worse by the fact you have to have a reservation to enter and to have no information available was very poor and unprofessional.<\/em><\/p>\n

We also found the lack of information at the\u00a0Colosseum\u00a0very poor, especially as the reason for its closure was ‘security’? I phoned your office to be told it was closed due to snow which made no sense as we could see no evidence of snow on this day. Surely for a venue of this importance the closure should have been under constant review and opened as soon as it was safe to do so instead of a blanket closure. This was my reason for coming to Rome in the first place and I’m sure like many others it has been a great disappointment.<\/em><\/p>\n

Once again I appreciate you have no control over these matters but at the very least I hope you pass on how\u00a0disappointed\u00a0and unimpressed your customers have been left due to their poor organisation. I know closures happen but to just close the doors is a totally\u00a0unprofessional\u00a0way to deal with them and in all my travels I’ve never experienced anything so badly run.<\/em><\/p>\n

Unfortunately we did not have any access to emails or the internet to read the email you sent to us. \u00a0We did not use the\u00a0Colosseum\u00a0or Borghese gallery tickets so I would appreciate a refund on these tickets as soon as possible.<\/em><\/p>\n

On a positive note we thoroughly enjoyed our visit to the Vatican and museums. It was obvious to us the difference in organisation, very very professionally run as you would expect.<\/em><\/p>\n
